Styled shoots are more than just stunning photographs

I thoroughly enjoy capturing a styled shoot for various reasons! While it may not always be feasible during peak wedding seasons, whenever I find the opportunity, I eagerly dive into these creative projects. It’s an excellent chance to connect with diverse industry professionals, offering a refreshing departure from the hustle and bustle of wedding photography. The relaxed atmosphere allows for exploration and learning, providing a unique space to try out new ideas and glean insights from fellow creatives.

Styled shoots are more than just stunning photographs; they’re testaments to the power of collaboration and the beauty of shared creativity. They fuel my passion, hone my skills, and connect me to a community that inspires me to push boundaries. So, whenever the opportunity arises, you’ll find me eagerly diving into these creative havens, camera in hand and heart wide open.

Morning Prep of the styled shoot

The morning of the styled shoot hummed with anticipation, resembling a beehive abuzz before a floral extravaganza! A delightful opportunity unfolded to bond with fellow creatives, where familiar faces mingled with new additions to our hive. Amidst shared laughter and coffee-fueled conversations, the air was thick with excitement for our collaborative masterpiece. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between relaxed camaraderie and the vibrant energy of creative synergy – the ideal mix for a photoshoot ready to soar!
Libby took centre stage as our fabulous model for the day, facing the delightful challenge of showcasing not one, not two, but three different dresses! Originally, they planned for just one dress in this shoot, but as we all know, putting ladies in a wedding dress shop is practically a recipe for hilarious disasters. Ha ha!

The shoot

We had the pleasure of working with three beautiful dresses, a stationery setup inspired by your designs that looked absolutely stunning. A lush cake display courtesy of the talented The Silver Cake. Our ceremony setup for posing Libby was nothing short of spectacular, adorned with breathtaking flowers from Petal Perfections and candles lining the aisle floor. To add that extra pop, some seats had dress covers tied with flowers. It was a feast for the eyes! The theme featured a subtle twist on minimalist elegance, incorporating a hint of old Hollywood glamour through the use of velvet ribbon and pearl accents.
To document the unfolding events, I was joined by Kien from Kb wedding videography and Alannah from Veitch Weddings. We embraced the garden room for ceremonial ambiance for our dress shots.
