History of Pennard house
Pennard House, standing proudly since its construction in the 17th century, has been an enduring family residence, consistently bustling with the warmth of friends and guests across generations.
The central Jacobean section, dating back to 1600-1620, forms the heart of the house, featuring a spacious central hall, a welcoming kitchen, and central bedrooms. In 1815, the East and West wings were seamlessly integrated, introducing grand reception rooms, a dining room, and additional expansive bedrooms.
Pennard House, a Grade II listed family home nestled in the captivating Somerset countryside. From the moment you arrive, it exudes a welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. Owned and managed by Harry and Georgina, along with their two children, Pennard House holds deep familial roots, with Harry having grown up in the house that has been a cherished part of his family for generations. Martin and Susie, Harry’s parents, spent over 35 years residing in the house and now call the Garden Cottage on the estate home, actively contributing to the vibrant tapestry of events that define Pennard House’s spirit. From language schools and yoga retreats to film shoots and wedding celebrations, the house has witnessed a myriad of activities over the years. The annual Glastonbury Festival brings a friendly invasion of friends, adding to the house’s rich history.

On our wedding day it was an absolute dream to have Paul a part of it, he captured our day just perfectly. He was kind, calm and attentive to all our needs. He was great fun and came up with ideas for pictures we never would have dreamed off.
