Country House Wedding | Frankie and James

Updated: Sep 27

On Saturday 3rd July 2021, I headed to country house wedding venue, Widcombe Grange in the Blackdown Hills for the wedding of Frankie and James. What an idyllic setting for my first full wedding of the year.

There was lots of hustle and bustle in the morning during the wedding prep. Nerves were high but everyone was happy and very welcoming. It was so good to be surrounded by smiley faces, children having fun and families coming together.

The weather forecast predicted rain at 2 pm, which was the exact time of the outdoor ceremony, so it was touch and go as to whether it would need to be moved indoors. However, luckily for everyone, it rained for approx 30 seconds, and that was it for the day! The rest of the time we had clear and settled weather – happy days!

After the ceremony, I took the bride, groom, baby, and dog for a 5-minute chill while the guests headed off for drinks and canapes. This gave them time to have a moment as a family. Once portraits and group shots were complete, we headed to the beautifully decorated marquee for the rest of the day where the celebrations continued.

Despite a few hiccups and weather warnings, the day was a huge success. Massive congratulations to Frankie and James. I wish you love and happiness as you continue your journey as husband and wife.
